Firefly Festival Package!

The James Madison Inn is offering a fantastic package for July 30 and 31st during the Firefly Festival. Two nights in one of our luxury King Rooms with complimentary breakfast each morning. Friday evening at 7:00pm, the band GLOW is performing during the picnic right across the street in Town Park. JMI will pack you a scrumptious Southern picnic in a monogrammed JMI cooler (your gift to keep) for you to take to the picnic, along with two lawn chairs. After the concert, from 10:00pm to 11:00pm, we are offering a JMI Sweet Southern Goodnight in the lobby with our signature cookies and milk. Saturday you can have your way, with shopping coupons to our great local shops. You also receive a $50 credit toward the James Madison Inn Spa-your choice of any of the Spa treatments. In the evening, JMI is doing a Refreshment Hour at 5:00pm in the lobby with snacks and a Firefly-inspired beverage. This year will be the first year that I will get to experience Madison Fest and all that it has to offer. Not being from this area, I get to hear all the great things about this great event. Not only is it a perfect time to partake in good food, great music, and one of a kind southern Hospitality. It is also a chance to really step back and appreciate Madison for what it stands for, and how far it has come thoughout the years. Madison is such a unique town with tons of character, and Madison Fest is sure to bring it all out for one great evening on the town allowing you to create memories that last a lifetime.

Masters Week April 4-11

All eyes around the country are focused on the state of Georgia during this week, particularly our region. We are looking forward to newcomers seeing Madison for the first time, or just a return visit. The James Madison Inn would like to welcome all visitors coming to stay with us during this time. Our hopes are that we can further make this a special time during such a great sporting event. We are preparing for a tremendous week, and hopefully we can expect to see an equally tremendous golf tournament.

Small Time Town, Big Time News

On Sunday February 21, 2010 if you were by chance scanning through the Atlanta Journal Constitution and came across the Travel section, you would have seen a nice write up on “Town Spared By Sherman”. The Picture set right below this title is a photo of “The Hunter House”, including a shot down the sidewalks of Downtown. In this article is a beautiful write up on the city of Madison, the History that dwells here, and a little bit of what the town has to offer. It is a sign that Madison, though small at heart, is definitely on the rise to becoming a legend in the making.

Madison Markets

I am an employee of the James Madison inn, and was lucky enough to get the opportunity today to walk in the Madison Markets for the first time. I was completely taken back at the Variety of Gifts, and collectibles that they had to offer. I am not an expert in antiquing or even at knowing what im looking for, but I do know what I like. The Markets had a lot that I liked, and that people i buy gifts for would like. I would encourage you to check this place out if you havent already. Its is truly an amazing place to shop!
