Didn’t visit hotel ~ Only visited... the spa on a gift certificate. It was disappointing. I could hear people talking up and down the hallway, so I couldn’t get totally into a relaxed state of mind. After my massage, I had a foot reflexology scheduled and after 20 min of waiting on it, I decided to leave as I didn’t have anymore time to wait.read more

We just stayed at The James Madison... Inn over the weekend for a family stay. From arrival to departure, this was an amazing stay! To start, the hotel is absolutely gorgeous. Everything at the hotel is very well kept and absolutely immaculate from the outside view, to the lobby, to the guest rooms, and even to the bathrooms! The hotel was so clean, beautiful, cozy, and hospitable. The staff was very warming and welcoming. Our room was absolutely stunning with a sitting area, fireplace, plush bedding, a very spacious bathroom, and our own balcony. This was a wonderful experience. I would love to return!read more

We rented out the entire James... Madison Inn and it made for the perfect wedding weekend at The Variety Works. The Inn is so charming and had a variety of room types for our family and friends. Not to mention the rooms were VERY clean and spacious! The two grand suites were perfect for the wedding parties. The staff was very attentive and friendly!! The Oak room, where they served an amazing breakfast, was a quaint space for family to hang out.read more

Our stays are always nice. The... staff is extremely helpful and friendly. We go often and look forward to each visit but the old girl is now starting to show her age. The furniture is dirty and worn, the exterior is crumbling. It’s time for an update. But please don’t be put off by this review you will still enjoy your stay because of the people.read more

Possibly the best hotel staff I... have ever dealt with.
We were part of a very large wedding looking almost the whole hotel they were so accommodating. Hotel is absolutely beautiful.read more

The Inn is surprisingly beautiful... and sits right on the open square. The conference center is just behind the main inn and to the right. I did not eat at the restaurant in there, but I would love to, it's a beautiful, open space. The lecture halls are spacious and have good sound. There's another lovely park behind the building as well. And many great shops and restaurants around town to enjoy.read more
